Job Responsibilities
- Artfully articulate and discuss the full portfolio of Managed Services.
- Interface with our prospects and customers to determine technical requirements, feasibility, and expectations.
- Strategize with prospects to architect a winning solution based on a variety of criteria, including business objectives, functionality, scalability, future-proofing, and cost.
- Create detailed and accurate Statements of Work (SOW) that allow technical staff to follow post-sale to implement the architected solution.
- Partner with internal sales and operations teams to provide support for pre/post sales activities, such as product demonstrations, webinars and/or presentations, solution designs, proofs of concept, total cost of ownership, ROI analysis, etc.
- Translate complex technical concepts to easily understood “value” discussions which address both business drivers and client benefits.
- Provide technical sales support during the pre- and post-sale phases.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects, with non-linear project phases, while maintaining an appropriate availability to deliver well-designed solutions on time and within budget.
- Prepare proposals and purchase agreements for the sale/renewal of telecommunications services & telephony equipment.
- Act as an escalation contact within the team and see issues through to closure.
- Liaise with Partners to fulfill customer requirements and troubleshoot issues.
- Perform administrative duties as assigned and needed by team.
- Manage an opportunity pipeline via company forecast tools.
- Team with other personnel to close/manage opportunities.
Qualifications
- Previous work for a Managed Service Provider (MSP)
- Several years of experience working as a system administrator, network engineer, or similar position with experience across complete IT industry lifecycle covering pre-sales, consulting, architecture, and design.
- Previous experience as a Solution Architect or Sales Engineer and have a clear methodology for performing requirements gathering, analyzing business requirements, and tailoring a custom product and solutions.
- Proven that you can influence the definition of technical strategies and design solutions.
- Broad expertise in all IT infrastructure related technologies with at least two focus areas:
- Networking: Cisco, Juniper, Force10, SonicWall, Fortigate
- Storage: EMC, Compellent, NetApp, Equallogic
- Virtualization: VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix, VDI
- Security: IDS, SEIM, MFA
- Microsoft Suite: Windows Server, Exchange Server, Active Directory
- Cloud: Azure, AWS, Office 365
- Carrier and Telephony Services: Internet Service Providers (ISP), Voice Over IP (VOIP) and Software Defined Wide Area Network Technology (SD-WAN)
- Prior work responding to RFP’s, RFI’s, and RFQ’s for both commercial and government contracts.
- Experience writing Statements of Work and appropriately determining pricing for hardware, software, services, and labor.
- Accustomed to working in a similar fast paced, deadline-driven position.
- Willingness to travel throughout the United States, up to 25% of the time.
- Minimum of one (1) year telecommunications experience.
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred but may be substituted for comparable work experience.
- The ability to working well under pressure and as part of a team, possessing strong organizational skills and a strong desire to provide exceptional customer services.
